as for not wrking past a thousand, i beg to differ. we've shown five now. two, two years ago and three this past year. We bred our own and have won county fair now the past two years with sunseekers. One was a two time supreme on the iowa circuit this past year later in the summer. All of them were out of half blood sim angus to purebred simmi cows. last years steer finished out right at 1350 and was as massive and sound for being that massive as we've ever shown. Bred 30 more cows to him this year. The rest we feed out and there's only been two duds out of 195 head fed in our own feedlot. They finished at 1150 but that's being blamed on the cows. I will however say that a friend of mine spend upwards of 7500 on one that he couldn't get to put weight on. He still weights 1100. From what i've been able to tell it has A LOT to do with the cow with this bull.
